Sip a Mai Tai and recap the day while watching beautiful sunsets from your relaxing tiled lanai. The lanai is also a great place to begin each day and plan the day. This destination is located in building 1, closest to the pool, and can sleep two guests.

Nearby Beaches to Kahana Reef:
1. Kahekili Beach Park (Airport Beach): generally calm conditions, excellent snorkeling and swimming, public restrooms, BBQ grills, and large grassy area.
2. Honokowai Beach Park: great for snorkeling due to the shallow, reef-protected beach, Children’s playground area, plenty of shade, tables, and BBQ grills.
3. Pohaku Park (S-Turns): calmer during summer months, with sandy and rocky shorelines, and picnic tables.

We've been using Chase 'N Rainbows for almost 10 years and this unit was the best by far. The kitchen is great, fully stocked, and the granite counters are wonderful. Sometimes it's the little things that matter, and one is left with the impression the owners really care. They have books, beach mats, binoculars, etc. for your use. Very nice and a special touch. We couldn't have been happier with the unit and property. Thank you Chase 'N Rainbows for a wonderful Christmas.

Aloha, We like your website and the features in it. We have stayed at the property and unit a number of times in the last 20 years. We are coming to stay for 3 weeks in September/October. It is so nice to look at the unit, property and see the changes and yet the same (like the view)! We're looking forward to coming home (as we say), we are not visitors, we are locals and are treated that way by most and all of the community of Maui County. As past travel agents, we have booked a number of people at the Kahana Reef. Mahalo for all you do to make us feel at home.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in Sept 2012. Pleasantly surprised about the livability of the condo. The condo was immaculately cleaned. Appears the tile floor coverings had just be installed. Bathroom has a lot of storage and was recently redone. We spend all of our time on the lanai that gave us a great view of the ocean. We ended up taking lots of pictures of the turtles, and one time counted 5 right along the sea wall. Got to know a few of the full time residents and manager. All where very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Kahana Reef to couples over 55 years that want peace and quiet. The grounds and buildings were kept well manicured. For my wife, when she is pleased on how clean a place is, that is high praises.

Perfect Landing Pad

1st trip to Maui, seasoned travel couple elsewhere in the world. All WE REQUIRE is a comfortable place to roost after a busy day exploring. This was perfect!!!
Quiet, ocean view, all the needed amenities, equipped kitchen, outside grill, etc.
Would not hesitate to stay again in Kahana Reef 402

Oceanfront location is perfection

You cant beat the location at Kahuna Reef, the lanai literally hangs over the ocean. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning with our coffee. The bed was very comfortable, slept extremely well. The kitchen was well stocked. It was a short walk to the local coffee shop. By keeping all the windows and lanai door open, not have air conditioning wasn't an issue. This is the only beach vacation rental I've stayed in that didn't provide beach chairs, towels, and a cooler. We could have rented towels but ended up buying some at Walmart. Also, we rented beach chairs and a cooler which we were reimbursed for which I appreciated. I should have paid more attention to the construction notice because if I realized how much was going on I wouldn't have picked Kahana Reef. The noise was so loud that we left each day to avoid it.

Love Kahana Reef

This is one of several condos we have stayed in at Kahana Reef. The location is perfect. Met some of the lovely full time residents who are always so nice. It is a very quiet complex with an amazing view of sunsets, turtles, kite surfing and beauty!

the only issue we had was the wi-fi wouldn't connect the first few days, maintenance tried to fix it immediately though. It worked much better after the first week for an unknown reason.

Short Birthday getaway

We visited with my husband in Mid January, the weather was Ok, accept for the High Surf advisory that contributed to more waves then usual and less visibility of passing by turtles. Nevertheless we were able to spot some humpback whales through the binocular every morning. the views from the lanai on Moloka'i island are spectacular and memorable, great spot for the sunsets even though you don't see the sun dip directly into the water as Lana'i island covers it before the actual sunset.
Overall the complex was quiet, available parking spots, close driving distance to some great beaches and hikes. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Perfect weather and a perfect Unit. We were staying in the same unit at almost the same time 4 years ago in 2018 when the Hawaiian Missile Crisis occurred. Decided to celebrate we were still alive 4 years later.

A lovely spot

This is a lovely community building. People here were very friendly and welcoming. The neighbours were kind and went out of their way to say hello.

We were very happy to be paddle distance from some of the best surfing spots on the West side of Maui.

Spectacular views

Quiet complex not far from many activities. Lanai was almost on top of the water with spectacular views. Kitchen was well equipped. Even with no A/C the trade winds provided nice air flow. Bedroom noise from the street and parking lot could be a bit loud in the early am. Choose to sleep on the pull out couch bed and listen to the ocean all night.

Kahana Reef #402

My husband and I enjoyed staying a Kahana Reef #402! It is located on the fourth floor of the complex with a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. It also has a full functioning kitchen, cable-TV, parking, communal pool, and quick access to the beach. It was also very clean and nicely decorated. I appreciated Chase N Rainbows quick responses to our questions and how effortless check in was. I would recommend this condo for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Maui 🙂
