The unit was very nice - tastefully decorated and the living room area was a very good size for a 1 bedroom. The view makes it worth the stay - 15 yards from the beach. And it was great that they have a telescope there - we sat and watched the whales every morning. Master bedroom was nice. We had told our kids we were staying in a 1 bedroom, even if they had to sleep on the floor, which is what they did. You have access to a decent beach, not Kaanapali but still nice. It is basically 10 minutes north of Kaanapali so not a bad drive. Make sure you get pizza at Dollie's across the street!

Great Condo at a perfect location

the location of the location is really perfect. Direct look onto the ocean with whales in the morning and sunset in the evening. You can also directly see Molokai and Lanai.
Just the infrastructure with restaurants and shops around got effected by COVID and a lot is closed. But Lahaina is near by so effectively it was no problem. I would recommend staying there all the time to friends.

Functional but not luxurious

First off, the view from this condo was excellent, worth every penny. The location was excellent too, the 2nd floor is easy to access and gives you a great view of the beach. We were happy to just sit and watch the ocean from the balcony for hours! The building also has restaurants and shops right across the street which was very convenient.

The condo itself was clean and was well-stocked. Just about any kitchen tool you need is here, along with some beach supplies. However this place has seen a lot of use over the years and it shows. Everything has wear and tear and it seems there is just enough maintenance to keep the place working, but no improvements have been made in years. It's long overdue for renovation! The screen door is ripped and the bedroom closet doors are off their rails. The bedroom carpet feels mushy. The grout in the shower has mildew and needs a deep clean.

Despite these issues we still enjoyed our stay, the view from the balcony makes you forget everything else!
If you just need a simple condo on the beach this place will satisfy. But if you're expecting modern amenities and fancy furniture, keep looking!

Beautiful view, great location, comfortable

We loved this property. Whales spouting and breeching in the distance, beautiful coral with many fish and turtles, great location. It was clean, beds were comfortable. We are normally babies about a/c but the breezes and fans made it very comfortable, and it was a non-issue. Here is my complaint: the pictures need an update. The local properties put giant sandbags all along the beach, so you do not see any sand from the balcony, so the view is not exactly as pictured. It’s grass that butts up to sandbags. I’m a cancer patient and they were a little hard to climb over. They’re 3 ft high in some places. Also, the bathroom appears to have a tub (which would have been better for me), but it’s an elevated shower with a tub spout. The floor is slightly below the spout, and despite the directions and how to use the shower head, I still had trouble. This also makes stepping out a little dangerous when your wet and your stepping down out of the shower. The VRBO listing said handicapped accessible, but my wheelchair would not have fit it the bathroom toilet area. Luckily, I am able to walk short distances with no problems. So those two things were disappointing, but it did not take away from our stay. The view was still beautiful, and I would still recommend this rental. We love the Murphy bed vs pull out couch. Towel rentals were also a plus, and great to have extras like boogie boards and little cooler bag. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need.

We had an awesome stay!

This is a super comfortable 1-bedroom apartment at a very quiet and clean condominium. The beach view from the balcony is amazing! We did not use parking. We had easy access to public transportation and used car services from the hotels nearby. The apartment is not in a walking distance from the closest city-center in Lahaina or the Lahaina harbor, but it is by a beautiful beach. Checking in/out and talking to the host was super easy and quick.

Perfect place to stay

This is a wonderfully clean and well appointed condo with a perfect view. The amenities are few with no work out area, beach area. But even without those items it was an awesome stay. Bathroom is a little quirky with a raised shower but it doesn't hinder a visitor at all. Watching whales from that view is worth the trip to Maui alone. We have stayed in 3 other condos here previously. I like this one alot and would request it again. The people who work here are nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Fabulous! We loved the fact that we could eat on the patio and view the ocean. Talk about beach front property, this is it. Best views in Maui! Everything you need is in this unit, right down to a telescope to view out to sea or across the channel. Perfect! Thank you for sharing this wonderful property.

Valley Isle resort is conveniently located in Kahana with direct access to a great strip of beach. The condo itself is very nicely furnished and has a wonderful ocean view off the balcony! Will stay here again if ever back in Maui.

#205 was a lovely condo to stay in

I have to tell you that 100 pills of percocet or oxycontin went missing from our condo around Feb. 01/011. I can only say who I'm fairly sure didn't take--the 1st maid service and the last maid service-we had no company in our room . That made our holiday very painful for me. I should have told you sooner -Bruce and I kept looking for it,having last seen it on the coffee table-I"m either naive or stupid or both--however please let me know if you did find it. The condo itself was great. Robin
